ADF Announces CABIN FEVER DESIGN CHALLENGE

logo_cabinThe ADF is pleased to announce CABIN FEVER DESIGN CHALLENGE. CABIN FEVER DESIGN CHALLENGE encourages Alaskans to develop contemporary ‘cabin’ designs which highlight the uniqueness of living in the frozen North. This design challenge presents the opportunity to turn those things which can make life in Alaska difficult into those very things which positively describe us.

The ADF is hosting this design challenge in association with the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center’s Cabin Fever exhibit. The design challenge culminates with an exhibit at the International Gallery of Contemporary Art in February, 2015.

Participants in CABIN FEVER DESIGN CHALLENGE are encouraged to develop designs which:

  • Provide architectural, landscape, lighting and interior design solutions
  • Utilize sustainable energy solutions and locally-sourced materials
  • Take advantage of new technologies to increase livability
  • Use visuals to increase sense of well-being
  • Address city planning challenges resulting in increased livability

Registration is required.
