STEINUNN SIGURðARDÓTTIR’S designs are informed by the land and cultural traditions from which she emerged. Her collections express a love of knits, detail and craft, both in technique and in the very fabric she works with. Sigurðardóttir attended Parsons School of Design in New York and has worked worldwide for top designers like Calvin Klein, Tom Ford, and Gucci. In 2000, she returned to Reykjavik to launch her own fashion line, STEiNUNN, which derives its aesthetic from both the Icelandic landscape and her Nordic heritage. She is the recipient of awards for her contributions to Icelandic culture, including Designer of the Year, and the Order of the Falcon, Iceland’s highest honor.
