An exhibition that mines housing data for urban planning opportunities, as part of Anchorage Design Weekend.
Exhibition: September 22-24
Symposium: September 23
THE EXHIBITION
<META/ANC> is a research project that uses the Municipality of Anchorage as a case study of northern urban planning and design. The Alaska Design Forum mapped the existing housing stock in the Municipality of Anchorage (MOA) to mine for insight about:
- historic settlement patterns
- current land use
- planning opportunities for future growth
The project illustrates a variety of data points individually and in combination to elicit viewer response, narratives and conclusions.
<META/ANC> will be exhibited September 22-24 at the Anchorage Museum as part of Anchorage Design Week. Look for it in the Chipperfield stair lobby (by the main entrance).
